BSNL launched 3G in Coimbatore

BSNL has launched 3G service in coimbatore. 3G or 3rd Generation is a network terminology that is used for high speed data transfer. You can make video calls, video conference, download songs, movies, games and more with your 3G mobile. To enjoy BNSL 3G you must have a 3G enabled mobile handset and 3G service activated.

BSNL offers video calls at 30 paise per minute, and Fixed to Fixed at 20 paise. There is no extra cost for 2G to 3G upgradation, you don't even have to change your SIM card.

Samsung launched full touch screen mobile



Samsung Electronics, has launched a new mobile handset (S3650) designed to support the highly connected lifestyle of today's young users. The samsung 'corby' is a fully touch sensitive handset that places users at the centre of the social media revolution with full support for a wide range of social networks.

With its eye-catching design, which marked a significant break from the way full touch phones were usually designed. The handset was notable for both its body design and colours and had colour options such as yellow, pink, white and orange. The phone 'corby s3650' would be priced at an MRP of RS. 9600.

The company has so far launched 34 mobile handsets of which 11 models were touch screen, 10 were multimedia and the balance came under business and mid segments. Samsung had a market share of 31 percent in the overall touch screen market. The mobile phones costing less than Rs. 3000 contributed 45 percent in volume terms and 25 percent in value to samsung's business.

Reliance offers Value Added Service



Reliance Mobile is offering a bunch of devotional services on its VAS platform, R-World. The objective is to achieve VAS leadership through innovative offerings and explore untapped consumer pockets to drive new revenue streams. The offerings included India's first SMS novel, video news alerts, BBC Radio service, navigation offering etc. The company expects such innovative consumer services to accrue nearly 15 percent of revenues through VAS, a release from Reliance Mobile said.

The devotional services being rolled out by Reliance Mobile can be accessed on it voice portal and R-World. The services can be accessed on 51234406 toll-free browsing number. The services include bhajans, mantras & stutis, chalisa, aartis, Ramayan, Geeta, Mukhwak, Nineam, Gurbani, Gur Ittihas, Rehat Maryada, Sikh traditions and Institutions, Gospels, Prayers, Novenas, Holy Rosary, Psalms, Holy songs etc. Besides this, it also offers special devotional zones and services.

The offer comes at Rs. 30 per month. The devotional VAS market in India is approximately Rs 600 crore. The company sees a revenue upside over Rs. 60 crore on an annualised basis from VAS.

Tata Indicom, Indian Mobile company, has announced the launch of new Tata Indicom MaiLite data plan for Blackberry service subscribers. The announcement came in the month of october, 2009. The new silver data plan provides customers with unlimited data for accessing up to 10 e-mail accounts plus one optional blackberry email ID and popular instatnt message services at a monthly rental of Rs.299.

The MaiLite is a new rate plan for Blackbery 8830 and 8730e smartphones.

Nokia will manufacture Laptops & PCs

Cellular Mobile leader, Nokia Corporation will enter Personal Computer Market. Mobile phones are nowadays become mini computer. With introduction and success of Nokia Smartphone mobiles Nokia has decided to manufacture computers.

The first of its kind will be a booklet, 3G netbook. It will have a battery life of 12 hours. As in smartphones the booklet will have mobile broadband, wi-fi, bluetooth, A-GPS facilities. This netbook is the result of customer preferences and surveys. The booklet will weigh 1.25 kgs, and have 2 cm thickness. The screen will be a 10 inch HD ready display. It will host a HDMI port. The Micro processor of this booklet won't have a cooling fan. The processor will be 1.6 GHz intel processor. Particularly Atom Z530 processor will be used.

Nokia purchased the software company Troll Tech. This company developed GUI tools. Nokia is using this to develope tools for its phones. It is expected that the OS will be linux based MobiLink Operating System.

Samsung India has introduced 2 new models in it Omnia range, Omnia HD and Omnia Pro B7320.

Omnia HD is a media centric phone and omnia pro is the competitor for Blackberry. It is best suited for people expecting performance, ease of use, style and entertainment in one phone.

Omnia HD has video recording capacity at 720p and 3.7 inch touch screen. It is based on symbian operating system and has number of widgets on desktop. Processor speed is 1 GHz. It has DLNA technology for HD TV connectivity. Has memory of 16 GB expandable upto 32 GB. As usual Samsungs DNSe sound engine is included. 3D games works well on this mobile. A-GPS GPS support is included.

The camera is Auto Focus 8 MP camera. For 3G there is HSDPA and HSUPA included. EDGE, GPRS and wi-fi is also available along with A2DP bluetooth. Samsungs Gesture control is not available.

The MRP price is Rupees 33990 in India.

LG is Known for offering feature rich phone with in our budget. The dynamite series of LG has been a success. LG has introdued KM 335 in Dynamite series. The front panel is made up of Metal and keypad and back cover are plastic make. This new arrival from LG will certainly tempt you.

The display is 2 inch TFT color. On the right side of the candy bar phone located ports for charger, headphone, usb. A single port shares all this. On the left are control keys for radio, volume and camera.

The dynamites backside are double speakers with great 3d surround sound and 2 MP camera with 4 x zoom and flash. The pictures are of great quality. The picture size is 2048 x 1538 maximum. Camera has self timer, white balance, and color effects. There is no photo editor in the phone.

There is music player with AM / FM Radio. This is the third phone in Indian market with AM radio. Previously sony ericsson offerd R300 and R306 with AM radio. Music is fantastic with KM 335s 3d surround speakers.

You can connect the phone to PC computer with plug and play usb cable. No extra software / driver is needed. The phone will act as mass storage with its micro SD card. The internal memory is 90 MB. The battery performace seems to be good and decent.


In India the mobile phone is priced at rupees 9250.

The phone book can hold 1000. For internet GPRS is available. Bluetooth also available. The frequency of operation is triband. So its a great treat to have LG KM 335 Dynamite.
